Felixstowe Harpers Football Club will soon be celebrating the first anniversary of the club website http://felixstoweharpers.com
The parent club has been part of football in Felixstowe for almost 45 years and the committee decided it was time to launch themselves onto the world wide web. From an initial couple of pages hosted on the football club websites service maintained by Andrew Gordon the site has evolved into one of the best Sunday morning football websites in the country. With initial sponsorship from Coastal Global Logistics and Felixstowe Freight the domain name was purchased and Jamie Versey built the site.
Whilst the website is predominately Felixstowe Harpers based, outside visitors are encouraged with additional sub-sites such as an interactive football predictions game:- http://felixstoweharpers.com/predictions - New members are now being sought as the EURO 2008 predictions competition gets underway early June. There is also our highly popular forum:- http://felixstoweharpers.com/forum - The forum always welcomes new members to come on board to discuss football from all levels as well as participate in quizzes. The forum is not solely football as the membership is encouraged to discuss topics from all walks of life.
Plans are afoot to expand the site even further with our very own Felixstowe Fantasy Football (usinf Felixstowe based players) game for the 2008-2009 season. All Sunday morning sides in Felixstowe will be invited to participate and the software is currently in development to run this.
